Common conditions. Specialist care.

Gallstones

Gallstones are one of the commonest causes of abdominal pain. Surgery is the most effective treatment.

Hernias

Hernias cause lumps/bulges that may lead to significant discomfort and limit your ability to lead an active lifestyle.

Acid reflux

Acid reflux and heartburn are very common symptoms. Explore your options for investigation and effective treatment.

Barrett’s
oesophagus

Expert detection of pre-cancerous changes can prevent oesophageal cancer developing, or enable treatment of oesophageal cancer at an early stage.

Weight loss surgery

Being overweight or obese is a major risk factor for developing significant illnesses, including heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.

Weight loss is key to improving health, enjoying a better quality of life, and reducing the risk of serious illness. However, losing weight through diet and exercise alone is hard to achieve, and even harder to maintain.

Surgery is a powerful tool to help reduce appetite, and achieve long lasting successful weight loss. It is the only treatment for weight loss that is proven to be effective in the long term, and deliver major health benefits such as improving or curing Type 2 diabetes, and reducing the risk of death from heart disease or cancer.
